Benfica Museum with free admission and special program

On Saturday, May 18, International Museum Day and European Night of Museums, the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião joins the celebrations and opens its doors to the public completely free of charge, from 6 pm to midnight.

Admission is subject to the presentation of a ticket, which must be picked up on the day at the Benfica Official Store, Estádio da Luz.

As well as offering the opportunity to visit the site at night for free, the Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião has prepared a special program...

• From 6:30pm to 7:30pm – Staged visit in collaboration with the ByFurcação theater company, where two great figures from the history of SL Benfica “come to life” and accompany a guided tour of the exhibition.

• From 7pm to 8pm – "The Stories that Objects Don't Tell” initiative, moment 1 - Marlene Sousa and Maria Vieira, players from SL Benfica's women's roller hockey team, will tell, in the first person, the stories and curiosities of the items they donated to the Benfica Museum

• From 8:30pm to 9:30pm – "The Stories Objects Don't Tell” initiative, moment 2 - judo athlete Rochele Nunes, swimming athlete Rafael Mimoso, dressage athlete Leonor Coelho and former rugby athlete António Santos will tell first-person stories and curiosities about the items they donated to the Benfica Museum.
