Benfica's basketball team was confirmed on Tuesday, June 18, by FIBA as one of the 24 teams that will take part in the qualifying rounds of the Basketball Champions League 2024/25 (BCL).

There are 28 European clubs with direct access to the regular phase scheduled to start on October 1, plus another 24 who will go through the qualifying rounds, divided into four groups - the winner of each group qualifies.

As in the previous two seasons, Benfica, the three-time national champions and Portugal's only representative in the competition, are part of this group, with the draw taking place on June 26 and action beginning in mid-September.
