Women's football
The club reached a historic level on Friday, August 9, after UEFA updated its ranking.

Women's Champions League
The rise has been dizzying. From 94th place in 2020, still without a coefficient, Benfica climbed 24 places to 70th in 2020/21. Always evolving among the best teams on the Old Continent, the biggest leap came in 2021/22, when the Eagles reached 37th place.
In 2022/23, with the six points they picked up in the Champions League group stage, the Reds moved closer to the top 20 (23rd).
The first three updates of the 2023/24 season saw Benfica climb up the ranks. From 15th on October 30, 2023, they climbed to 13th place, before climbing all the way to the top 12 after the draw in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt (Matchday 4 of Group A) on December 21, 2023.
After Matchday 5 of the Champions League group stage, in which the Eagles drew with Rosengard, UEFA updated the ranking on January 26, 2024. The Inspiradoras have overtaken Atlético de Madrid and moved into 11th place, just outside the top 10, in a list that is currently still led by Barcelona.
