After contributing to Benfica's 0-2 win over Pevidém in the 3rd round of the Portuguese Cup on Saturday, October 19, at the Estádio Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas, Florentino expressed his “joy” at seeing the eagles advance in the competition.

"We expected a tough game and, although they were from a lower division, we knew they were a good team, a competent team that tries to play good football. Our goal was clear: to win and get through to the next round. We're very happy," the Glorioso's number 61 told RTP.

Next Wednesday, October 23, the Champions League returns to Estádio da Luz. “Our objective has been the same, to win game after game. Now we have to focus on the next one, against Feyenoord, for the Champions League,” Florentino said.

Asked if this is his best season, the midfielder looked at the team as a whole: “We're managing to play good games, the team is organizing itself well from the start and putting that on the pitch. That's what we want to keep doing.”
