17th António Leitão Benfica Race: registration open!

The 17th edition of the António Leitão Benfica Race takes places on March 22 and 23, 2025 (Saturday and Sunday), staring near Estádio da Luz. Registration is now open.

A major event on the athletics scene and in national sport itself, the António Leitão Benfica Race - which pays homage to the former and now deceased Olympic athlete, a specialist in cross-country and middle-distance running - is, above all, a tradition at the Club, and is now in its 17th edition.

The weekend will be filled with three different moments. The Kid's Race takes place at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 22, and is available for boys and girls aged 4 to 15. The general gathering for roll call before the race will take place at 10:15 am at Gate 17 of the Sport Lisboa e Benfica Stadium, For more information and to register, CLICK HERE.

On Sunday, March 23rd, there will be two events! The Walk at 11:00 am, available in 5 km for men and women, and limited to 4,000 participants. If you are over 14, you can take part and enjoy a unique setting: passing through the interior of the Sport Lisboa e Benfica Stadium. For more information and to register, CLICK HERE.

On the same day (March 23), at 10:30 am, the starting gun will be fired at the Benfica Race.  The 17th edition will take place over 10 km for men and women and is limited to 10,000 participants. For more information and to register, CLICK HERE.
