On Thursday, December 19, starting at 5:00 pm, the Nacional-Benfica game from matchday 8 of the Liga Betclic, resumes, which began on October 6, but was interrupted due to poor visibility conditions caused by the intense fog at the Estádio da Madeira.

The two teams played eight minutes of the match before the second, and final, interruption ordered by referee Gustavo Correia due to the adverse conditions.

In the afternoon/evening of October 6, Benfica fielded Trubin, Álvaro Carreras, Bah, Aursnes, Kökcü, Di María, Pavlidis, Aktürkoğlu, Otamendi, Tomás Araújo and Florentino. For their part, Nacional fielded an eleven made up of Lucas França, Ulisses Rocha, José Gomes, Luís Esteves, Thomas, Gustavo Garcia, Isaac, Djibril Soumaré, Zé Vítor, Appiah and Matheus Dias.

Since then, the Eagles have won five and drawn one in their six Liga Betclic matches, while the islanders have won two, drawn one and lost three in the same period.
