With a goal in the 5th minute, Amdouni opened the scoring in Benfica-Nacional (3-0), on matchday 25 of the Liga Betclic which took place at the Estádio da Luz on Saturday, March 8. The forward was voted Man of the Match, but preferred to highlight the 3 points won: "Very happy with the win."

This performance earned the Swiss international the accolade of Man of the Match, an award which, speaking to BTV, he considered a “bonus” given the primary objective, not least because the Eagles took to the field just a few hours after the Champions League match.

"I'm very happy, especially about the win. The prize was a bonus. I'm happy, but today's win was important, as well as recovering well from the match we had with Barcelona [on Wednesday, March 5]," he recalled.
