Leandro and João Rego, players in Benfica's professional football squad, were used in the U-20 National Team's 1-1 draw against Germany, in the second of two Elite League friendly matches scheduled for March.

In the match at the Karl-Liebknecht Stadium in Potsdam, João Rego and Leandro started the game on the bench, but were brought on in the 75th and 83rd minutes respectively.

Benfica's Academy as also represented with Leandro Martins starting (he came off in the 83rd minute) and Gustavo Varela coming on in the 61st minute.
