The best of February distinguished by Liga Portugal Betclic

DISTINCTIONS

On Wednesday, March 26, at Benfica Campus, Bruno Lage, Pavlidis, and Tomás Araújo received the prizes awarded by Liga Portugal for their performances in the Liga Betclic in February 2025.

During this period of competition, Bruno Lage was named Coach of the Month, the Greek international Pavlidis earned the double distinction of Forward and Player of the Month, and Tomás Araújo was named Defender of the Month.

The eagles' captain received the majority of votes from his counterparts in the competition, with a total of 23.93%. In the four league matches between February 2 and 22, Benfica won four times against Estrela da Amadora (away), Moreirense (home), Santa Clara (away) and Boavista (home), by 2-3, 3-2, 0-1 and 3-0 respectively.

Pavlidis, as Forward of the Month, received 26.5% of the coaches' votes. The Glorioso's No. 14 was also voted Player of the Month, receiving 23.93% of the votes.

For his part, Tomás Araújo deserved 17.09% of the votes for Defender of the Month. The Portuguese international was a starter in 3 of the 4 games the Reds played and won in the league in February, against Estrela da Amadora (away), Moreirense (home) and Boavista (home).
