Bruno Lage praised Benfica's “good display” and “safe game” in their 0-3 win over Gil Vicente on matchday 24 (game in hand) of the Liga Betclic.

Bruno Lage
TEAM, TROOP AND FAMILY
"I think it was a good start to the game, a good display, a safe game from us and what we talked about yesterday [Thursday, March 27], being a team, being a family and being a troop. That's what we did. We were a team, we played well, the ball went from foot to foot very well, especially in the first half; we were a troop, because we played together, we fought together, and we have to have this mentality; and then we were family, on and off the pitch, fantastic support from our fans for our team, and therefore justice in the result and the victory."
CONSISTENCY TO THE END
"It was important to win, because it's up to us to be champions, which is our big goal, and the consistency we were looking for. We looked for that consistency, to have time to train, to get to know the players even better. Bringing in the players in January was also very important, because it gave us several options for certain positions, and what we've seen is that, regardless of who plays, the team has good positioning and good dynamics. And we have to be able to maintain that, because - we spoke to the players yesterday [Thursday, March 27] - we have almost six to seven weeks until the end of the league season. We still have a semi-final in the Portuguese Cup, but there's a final to be played later, and we want to be in the final, both in the league and in the cup. So now we have to maintain that consistency, and they have to train, and then it's up to me, as coach, to decide at each moment the best line-up to win the games."
TOMÁS ARAÚJO'S MANAGEMENT
"The question remains, there is no concern. We have to know how to manage it, and we're managing it in the best conditions. [Does playing right-back increase the risk of relapses?] It doesn't."
ADAPTATION OF AMDOUNI
"[Amdouni to start against Farense, even with Di María's return?] Whether it's Di María, or Andreas [Schjelderup], Aktür [Aktürkoğlu], Bruma, you name it, we have a lot of strikers with enormous quality. Zeki [Amdouni] is a good example of what I sometimes said many months ago, that it's not easy to go from a team like Burnley, who play once a week and don't have to - or don't have to - win every game, to Benfica, playing every three days and always having to have a collective performance with an individual performance. For some players, there's always a period of adaptation. Zeki has adapted very well, and we've been patient with him and with everyone. That's why it's sometimes not easy to come in, arrive and perform, because of what happens on the pitch, but also because of the size of a club like Benfica. He's made that journey and we're very pleased with him."
DI MARÍA: THE IMPORTANCE OF SCORING ON HIS RETURN
"Yes, it's very important, and to play and feel it, because he's been training well, but also to feel it when he plays. He played 20 minutes with quality, he did well in the move that led to the penalty and he scored. As I say, I'm very pleased to be able to count on everyone."
