STATEMENTS TO BTV

Aktürkoğlu opened and closed Benfica's 3-2 win against Farense on matchday 27 of the Liga Betclic,and was named Man of the Match for the match that took place at the Estádio da Luz on Wednesday, April 2. "We played very well and deserved to win," said the forward who, in this match, reached 14 goals with an eagle on his chest - 9 in the league.

It wasn't even 10 minutes in and the Turkish international was already making the fans cheer when he deflected a cross from Aursnes into the net (7').

Later in the match, in the 23rd minute, the forward, who was in his first season at Estádio da Luz, set up Pavlidis for the Greek player to score to make it 2-0. In the second half (54'), the Greek international reciprocated, assisting Aktürkoğlu to make it 3-1 and score a second goal.

In the 89th minute, he was replaced by Amdouni on the field of play, rounding off a greeat display in which he scored 2 goals (from 3 shots) and 1 assist. The Reds forward also had a pass accuracy of 77% (20 right from 26 attempts) and won 5 duels.

THE GOALS AND THE ASSIST

With the Man of the Match award already in his possession, Aktürkoğlu spoke to BTV about a “difficult game” in which the Eagles played “very well” and deserved to “win”. Aktürkoğlu then set his sights on the future, which holds a clássico against FC Porto at the Estádio da Dragão, on matchday 28 of the Liga Betclic, scheduled for Sunday, April 6 (8:30 pm).

"We're in the final stretch. We have to focus on the next game, which is important. Now our focus is on the game with FC Porto," he stressed.

Regarding his display, Aktürkoğlu said that when you score and/or assist a goal the “feeling” is “incredible”, but that, he stressed, is not the main thing.

"The important thing is the team winning, the winning mentality, and we're doing a great job. I'm happy to score and to help my teammates," he said.
