Benfica Museum celebrates European Night of Museums on Friday

This year, the European Night of Museums takes place on May 17, and the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião is joining in the celebrations, opening its doors for free, in anticipation, this Friday, May 16, between 6 pm and midnight.

Among other surprises, visitors to the Museum will be able to see themselves portrayed in a caricature, with Sport Lisboa e Benfica as the central theme.

ATTRACTIONS OF THE EVENT

» Live Cartoon session with cartoonist Ricardo Galvão.

• Hours: 6 pm -9:30 pm

• Registration for caricaturization on a first-come, first-served basis

» Screening of the documentary “Benfica-Torino 4-3”, about the mythical last match of the Torino team against SL Benfica on May 3, 1949, before the Superga disaster. Directors: Andrea Ragusa and Nuno Figueiredo.

• Hours: 9:00 pm -10:00 pm

• Capacity limited to room capacity

• One for All and All for the Stadium - Memories of Estádio da Luz (1954-2003), in the atrium of the Museum (see more information here)

ENTRY CONDITIONS

• Pick up your Museum ticket at the Benfica Official Store, between 9 am and 11 pm

• Last entry to the Museum at 11:30 pm

• Entrance to the Museum with the ticket for the event permitted only for May 16, starting at 6 pm
