TRAINING SESSION HIGHLIGHTS

On Tuesday, June 10, Benfica's professional football team continued preparing for the 2025 Club World Cup with another training session at the Waters Sportsplex in Tampa, Florida. This session was delayed due to weather conditions.

Everything was ready for Bruno Lage's team to train on the main pitch at the sports complex, but changes in the weather, specifically rain and thunderstorms, meant that the training session, initially scheduled for 9:15 am local time (2:15 pm continental time), was delayed.

The warnings issued by local authorities are taken seriously and, as such, for safety reasons, and given the impossibility of practicing outdoor sports under these conditions, the Reds were temporarily restricted in their planned activities.

Following Leandro Santos' statements to the media, the working group continued their preparations on the pitch.

The rain quickly disappeared, the temperature (around 26 degrees) remained the same, and the sun came out from behind the clouds. The ball was always present in all the exercises performed after the physical activation of the 20 Benfica athletes.

The Eagles are in Group C of the competition, alongside Argentina's Boca Juniors, New Zealand's Auckland City, and Germany's Bayern Munich.

Benfica's debut in the 2025 Club World Cup is scheduled for 11:00 pm (Mainland Portugal time) on June 16 (Monday) against Boca Juniors at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
