The Eagles have made the Waters Sportsplex in Tampa their base for preparing for the Club World Cup games. Nothing is lacking to meet the demands of high performance.

Dressing room
In Tampa, more than 6,700 kilometers away from home, Benfica works professionally to prepare the soccer team, offering the best working conditions in a complex that has two short-cut grass pitches and one synthetic pitch.
At Waters Sportsplex, the logistical operation behind organizing a limited space to host one of the world's leading teams is clearly evident.
Nothing is missing. Before or after training, players can use a gym where they can do specific muscle or cardio work, with all the necessary equipment, such as stationary bikes. Some of these are even strategically placed outside the building, facing the main pitch.
EVERY DETAIL COUNTS
There is also a massage area and a recovery area, equipped with two pools, which enhance physical rehabilitation in terms of muscle recovery.
There are three dressing rooms. The main one, which is personalized and has names on the lockers, is for the players, where they get ready every day for each training session. The coaching team led by Bruno Lage also has its own dressing room, as does the staff who provide support to the athletes and others.
A meeting room for the coaching team to work and analyze training sessions and a room for lectures are also included.
This logistical framework also took into account two essential spaces: the laundry room, equipped with industrial machines so that equipment can be quickly and conveniently cleaned after use, and a storage room, where training materials are stored.
Also on the ground floor of the complex's central building is the boot area. This is where the players' boots are kept, which are thoroughly cleaned after use.
On the first floor, there is a press room for journalists and other workrooms for the red staff, all duly decorated with the colors of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, with images of some of the Club's protagonists, fueling the red ambition in what is the first Club World Cup.
