This Sunday, June 15, at Pavilhão João Rocha, in a tremendously well-played derby, referring to game 1 of the Liga Placard playoff final, Benfica got the better of Sporting in the penalty shootout (3-5), following a four-goal draw (4-4) after extra time. The rivals will face off again on Thursday, June 19, at the Pavilhão Fidelidade.

Under-17: celebrating the third consecutive championship title

Benfica's Under-17s beat FC Porto on Sunday, June 15, on matchday 18 of the National Championship and won the 3rd consecutive league title in the competition and the 22nd in the club's history. At Benfica Campus Field No. 1, Tomás Soares (45'+1') and José Neto (54') scored the goals that gave the Eagles a 2-1 victory. For the first time in the same season, the Under-19, Under-17, and Under-15 teams have won their respective championships: it is a historic achievement for the Club in youth football!
