HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRAINING MATCH

Benfica's professional football team held another training session during their participation in the 2025 Club World Cup with a two-part 30-minute training match against FC Naples on Tuesday, June 17. The Eagles won 2-1.

At Waters Sportplex in Tampa, Florida, after the match against Boca Juniors (2-2) on matchday 1 of Group C, the Reds faced FC Naples and played with the following starting eleven: André Gomes, Schjelderup, Prestianni, Tiago Gouveia, Gonçalo Oliveira, Joshua Wynder, Leandro Santos, Bajrami, Rafael Luís, João Rego, and Diogo Prioste.

Gonçalo Oliveira scored the first goal (1-0) and Justin Weiss equalized (1-1). Belotti decided the training match (2-1).

Benfica returns to action on Friday, June 20, at 12 noon (5:00 p.m. in mainland Portugal), against New Zealand's Auckland City. The Group C match will take place at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando.
