Maria Pereira, winger/center for Benfica's women's futsal team, was voted Best Player in the Placard Women's League during the 3rd edition of the Champions Gala, which took place on Monday, June 16, at the Salão Preto e Prata in Casino Estoril.

In addition to being named the best athlete, Maria Pereira was also named to the National Championship's Best 5, as was her teammate Janice.
