TRAINING SESSION

Benfica's professional football team trained on Wednesday, June 18, at Waters Sportsplex in Tampa, Florida. It's another step in their preparation for the upcoming Club World Cup.

With temperatures similar to those in Lisbon, between 28 and 30 degrees, the main difference was the humidity (73% in Tampa and 49% in the Portuguese capital), which did not detract from the intensity and determination seen during the period open to the media. Earlier, Bruma outlined the assumptions guiding the working group for the clash against Auckland City in statements to the press.

Coach Bruno Lage did not count on Florentino. The midfielder suffered an acromioclavicular sprain in his right shoulder and underwent treatment and gym work

On Thursday, the Eagles will return to work in the morning in Tampa. However, the preview of the next game will take place in the late afternoon in Orlando, specifically at Inter&Co Stadium.

Benfica faces Auckland City on Friday, June 20, at 5:00 pm in mainland Portugal (12 noon local time), in the second match of Group C.

In Tampa, Benfica's professional football team continued the preparations  for the 2025 Club World Cup on Friday, June 13, with international players Trubin, António Silva, Kökcü, Pavlidis, Aktürkoğlu, Barreiro, Schjelderup, Dahl, and Bajrami already in the working group. On the other hand, Rui Silva, Nuno Félix, and Eduardo Fernandes – all registered players – left the training camp.
