Looking ahead to the Club World Cup round of 16 clash, Pavlidis is determined to help Benfica overcome Chelsea in Charlotte and advance in the competition.

What are your expectations for the game against Chelsea?
I think it will be a very difficult game. We have to be very careful because they are a very good team.
Benfica had never beaten Chelsea, and before the game against Bayern Munich, they had never beaten the German team either...
It would be good to beat an opponent that Benfica has never beaten in its history.
For a player in your position, when you see Di María working to create opportunities on the wing, what goes through your mind as you watch him in that process?
Ángel [Di María] is truly a great player. He has many qualities and can play on both sides. Depending on which side he goes to, I always know better where I should go, so he can give me the right pass to score, as he has done throughout the season.
Benfica has the advantage of having played in this stadium against Bayern Munich, and also because of the weather conditions...
We are better prepared, but we have to fight against the weather and against Chelsea, because it was very difficult to play against Bayern, it was very hot. I hope we feel better than we did against Bayern.
You are one of the fans' favorite players. Can you confirm that you will remain with the team next season?
I don't want to answer that because none of that is on my mind. The only thing I'm thinking about right now is continuing in the Club World Cup, and we want to go all the way.

He scored 19 goals in the Portuguese league last season. Are you thinking of becoming the top scorer in 2025/26?
I'm not thinking about that right now. What I said before is that we are here in the United States of America now. I'm only thinking about the Club World Cup, and when we're done, I'll think about next season.
You scored two goals recently in Greece's victory over England. What memories do you have of that game? And of players Levi Colwill and Cole Palmer?
They are very good players. And, of course, when we played against England at Wembley, it was a special night for us [Greece]. It will be a good game to play against top-class players, and I will be ready to remember that game.
Chelsea lost the match against Flamengo. Did you watch that game?
Yes, we watched the games. Not to see exactly how Chelsea lost, but of course we analyzed Chelsea, and we will do our best to win the game and stay in the competition. We know it will be difficult.
How do you feel now?
I'm feeling good.
