Gold medal for Diogo Ribeiro, again! The Benfica athlete was the fastest in the final of the 50-meter butterfly at the European Under-23 Swimming Championships in Samorin, Slovakia. With a time of 23.01 seconds, he beat the competition to become European champion on Saturday, June 28.

It's Diogo Ribeiro's third medal in this competition, after silver in the 100-meter butterfly and gold in the 50-meter freestyle!

In the final of the 50-meter butterfly, the Benfica swimmer left behind Ukrainian Vladyslav Bukhov (23.09) and Romanian Denis-Laurean Popescu (23.43), who completed the podium.
