SL Benfica establishes partnership with the Marine Corps Association

Last Saturday, July 5, Sport Lisboa e Benfica and the Marine Corps Association established a collaboration agreement with a view to strengthening a relationship that began in the 2022/23 season in the context of Youth Football. The ceremony took place at the Marine Corps School, as part of the Marine Corps Day celebrations.

This collaboration has been vital for the training of coaches and young athletes through various joint initiatives in recent seasons, with SL Benfica's Youth Football benefiting from the knowledge and prestige of the Marine Corps, as well as promoting the sharing of fundamental values such as discipline, respect, and teamwork, which are essential both in sports and in military life.

This new protocol with the Marine Corps Association will also allow all children and grandchildren of its members, as well as military personnel serving in Marine Corps units, to benefit from special conditions at Benfica Football Schools. This partnership also aims to offer everyone a unique opportunity to access excellent football training.

The signing of the collaboration protocol was attended by the Director of Sports Projects of SL Benfica Youth Football, Fernando Pinto, as well as by the president of the Marine Corps Association, Captain Carlos Teixeira Moreira, and the commander of the Marine Corps, Commodore Rogério Paulo Figueira Martins de Brito.
