A reference point, goalscorer, and team captain for the Glorioso over six seasons (2001-2007), during which he won one Championship (2004/05), one Portuguese Cup (2003/04), and one Super Cup (2005/06), Simão Sabrosa had been the club's Director of International Relations since June 1, 2021. At 45, he's taking on a new challenge at SL Benfica.
In another area of professional football, Gonçalo Guimarães took up his position as Press Director on Monday, July 21.
