The UEFA Referees Committee has appointed Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic (45), who has been an international referee since 2010, to officiate the 2nd leg of the Champions League play-off between Benfica and Fenerbahçe at 8 pm on Wednesday, August 27, at Estádio da Luz.

Tomaz Klancnik and Andraz Kovacic will be the assistants and David Smajc the 4th official.

Alen Borosak will be the VAR and Dragoslav Peric the AVAR.

Two goals, two works of art from the team

Foundation offers a helping hand to Cape Verde

The President of the Republic of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves, visited Estádio da Luz for a meeting with Carlos Moia, executive president of the Benfica Foundation, dedicated to humanitarian aid for the island of São Vicente, recently affected by a severe storm. The head of state emphasized the “long-standing and close relationship” between Cape Verde and Benfica, noting that this cooperation “will have a very strong impact on São Vicente”. Carlos Moia stressed that “the people themselves and their needs are important,” guaranteeing that all hospital supplies will be in Cape Verde by mid-September.
