"We take the 3 points with us and move on"

Having started Alverca-Benfica on the right wing, Aursnes was the emergency replacement who covered for the sending off of the full-back on that side. His versatility earned him the Man of the Match award in Benfica's 1-2 victory in Matchday 4 of the Liga Betclic, on Sunday, August 31.

On the pitch at Estádio do FC Alverca, in the flash interview with Sport TV, the player acknowledged the difficulties experienced in the match after being reduced to ten men in the 70th minute.

"Yes, especially in the second half, it was a difficult game. We struggled to create good opportunities. And after the red card, of course, we had to defend and try to secure the three points, which we managed to do. We conceded a goal, but in the end we got the three points. But yes, we can do better", said Aursnes.

Showing pragmatism, he emphasized that the most important thing had been achieved: victory at the end of a cycle that precedes a break for the national teams.

"Yes, of course, we got the three points. But we can take some good things from the first half. I think we controlled the game reasonably well. They managed a few counterattacks, which we could have countered better, but we take the three points with us, as I said, and we move on", he said.

Humble, the best player on the field tried to satisfy the reporter's curiosity about the secret to always putting in good performances.

"Well, to be honest, I don't think I played that well today [smile]. But, yes, I try to be as consistent as possible and give my best", he explained.
