Lukebakio is the new signing of Sport Lisboa e Benfica! In his first words, the 27-year-old Belgian international forward expressed his eagerness to play his first minutes wearing the red jersey at Estádio da Luz.

"It's an amazing feeling, honestly. I asked for a lot of opinions, I already knew it was a great club, but I was surprised because everyone only said good things. I really want to be on the field and experience those moments with the fans, who I've heard are fantastic. I've just signed, but I'm already looking forward to play in this stadium", he said in an exclusive interview with BTV.

Benfica has had some Belgian players in the past, such as Svilar, Witsel, and Vertonghen, and they all loved playing for Benfica. Do you also want to leave your mark on the club?

Of course! It's important for me to try to help the team achieve its goals, and I'm here to give my best, show what kind of player I am, and what I can bring to the team. I want to give the best impression of myself so that we can achieve many things at this fantastic club.

How would you describe yourself as a player?

I'm a fast player who dribbles a lot, has good finishing skills, but can also assist.

Which goals do you bring?

It's simple. For me, it's very important to try to help the team to be better. That's my main goal. For me, the most important thing is what we achieve as a team. Individually, it's also important, because if I do well, I'm also helping the Club. I came here to try to win as much as possible, because this is Benfica! I know what I have to do, and I believe I will show it on the pitch.

What message do you have for the fans?

First of all, I want to thank everyone for the messages I received on social media. I was very touched. I am eager to get started and play for them. I have seen how fantastic they are and I can say that I will give my best so that we can win titles, because this is Benfica!
