Sérgio Guelho, a referee from Guarda FA, was appointed by the Portuguese Football Federation to officiate the Benfica-Rio Ave game, from matchday 1 of the Liga Betclic (postponed). The match takes place at Estádio da Luz, at 8:15 pm on Tuesday, September 23.

Carlos Campos and Nelson Cunha will be the assistants and Diogo Araújo the fourth official.

The video assistant referee (VAR) will be Pedro Ferreira, and the assistant video assistant referee (AVAR) will be Nuno Eiras.
