A “just like that” management
A poorly composed Directors-Board has resulted in its own breakdown and consequent interim elections.
His mandate was the shortest of Benfica’s History, less than four months (105 days), asking for elections
after this period. The reasons why were, mainly, the impossibility of four board members (in a group of
seven) to respond to the club’s needs and the own president’s business, which was taking himself into
constant traveling. In this troubled period, Cosme Damião, who was elected vowel of the board of directors,
was the one distinguished as the club’s strategic pillar.
