Administration of continuity
The great consecration of the Bi-European Championship, something unprecedented in Portugal.
Vice president of the last management, came after Maurício Vieira de Brito, becoming a Bi-European champion, in 1962. There were the golden years of the club’s History: the football team was strongly required to play overseas, all around the world. Benfica had huge European revenues and the possibility to buy the best Portuguese players. After leaving the presidency, and even without occupying a role in the directive board, he was always very dedicated, making several commissions, throughout four decades. He was distinguished with the "Águia de Ouro", in 1962.
