In 2021, the International Day for Monuments and Sites celebrates the theme “Complex Pasts: Diverse Futures”. To
participate in the debate, the Sport Lisbon e Benfica Cultural Heritage Direction developed a case study that
allows to reflect on the importance of sports heritage for society.
The Portuguese Cup 1968/69 takes on different dimensions, covering areas as varied as art, the history of
democracy, and cultural enjoyment. This trophy, explored in detail, exemplifies the plurality and richness that
