It’s not Mine, it’s Ours! is the temporary exhibition that, between the days 21 and 31 July, will
highlight a set of objects gifted by Benfica supporters.
Because the Club is of all for all, this exhibition will have an associated programming, full of memories and
Benfica spirit, from guided tours with special guests to moments of conversation with the givers. Participate
and celebrate with us!

Guided tour
The gift is the reflection of a relationship of trust, initiated by the giver – moved by love and affection for the Club – and which culminates in the passing of the baton to Sport Lisboa e Benfica. But how does this transmission take place? How is the gift, inventory and packing of an item organised? Discover these and other answers on a visit to the Documentation and Information Centre and the Storage, Conservation and Restoration Department. The tour ends at the new temporary exhibition, with the special participation of the givers.
Moments of interaction with donors
Who better to share the memory of the objects than the supporters who gifted them? Join us and enjoy the unique opportunity to interact, first-hand, with the protagonists of these stories. Throughout the afternoon, the givers of the objects on display will share their memories, experiences, curiosities, and stories of these unique items with the visitors.
Chatting with donors
A greater desire unites the givers present in this exhibition: to preserve the memory of Benfica. Tickets, membership cards, shirts, medals, and sports equipment – all these objects contain moments of joy, euphoria, sharing and, above all, a lot of love for the Club. A conversation full of Benfica spirit, with many stories waiting to be told.
How to Take Care of My Sports Collection: from Theory to Practice
Workshop
In this workshop we will address the following matters: how to store my collection? What packaging materials can guarantee the good conservation of my objects? What should I do to avoid them being altered, deformed, losing colour, or damaged? These and many other questions will be answered to know the best strategies and best practices in the preservation of objects, ensuring the longevity and "well-being" of a sports collection.
We invite each participant to bring an article from their collection to reflect on during the workshop.
