José Mourinho, Benfica's coach, closely and particularly followed the activities of two youth teams on Thursday, October 30. Flanked by his technical team – with whom he had already watched Benfica's U-17 team train in the afternoon – and by general manager Mário Branco, José Mourinho watched Benfica B-Paços de Ferreira (2-1), from matchday 9 of Liga 2, from the stands of Field No. 1. Before the match and during halftime, the coach visited the locker room of the young team.

Tribute to the captain in the dressing room
Otamendi, captain of Benfica, reached the milestone of 250 official games wearing the eagle on his chest in the match against Tondela (3-0) – in which he scored the first goal – on Wednesday, October 29, at Estádio da Luz, counting towards the quarterfinals of the League Cup. The world champion center back was honored in the dressing room by his teammates, coach José Mourinho, and President Rui Costa.
