Portugal Cup: step by step to the grand final


Benfica, the most decorated club, fights for its 27th Portuguese Cup trophy.

The most successful Club in the Portuguese Cup (26 trophies won), Benfica is about to play its 37th final of the second most important competition of Portuguese football. To be able to fight for a new success at 8:45 pm on Saturday, in Coimbra, the team had to overcome five rounds (and six games).

In this road to the 2019/20 Portuguese Cup final, Benfica beat Cova da Piedade and Vizela, away from home, and then saw off Braga and Rio Ave, both at Estádio da Luz.

In the semifinals, the reds had the upper hand in the two-legged tie with and qualified for the final, where they will face FC Porto.
