Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Santa Clara will lock horns at 7:15 pm next Tuesday, June 23, at Estádio da Luz. This will be a game from the Liga NOS (matchday 28)… and it will be the fifth occasion in which the reds and the açorianos face each other in Lisbon for the competition. Benfica has a 100 percent winning record, with four wins in four matches. The first was in 1999/2000, with Nuno Gomes scoring the winning goal (1-0), that result was followed by 2-1 win, in 2001/02, with goals from Simão and Mantorras. In the following season (2002/03), Simão, scored the winner through a penalty kick (1-0). Last season, (2018/19), 4-1 at Estádio da Luz, in a match that marked the Reconquest.
