Representatives of the Governing Bodies of Sport Lisboa e Benfica were at the Basilica of Superga on the morning of Wednesday, September 14, to pay tribute to the Torino team that on May 4, 1949, was the victim of a terrible plane crash. Next to the Superga memorial that evokes the tragedy, SL Benfica paid tribute to the Gran Torino, to the team that, in the 1940s, was the best team in Italy and one of the best in Europe.
