Benfica beat Ajax, 3-0, in the semifinals of the UEFA Youth League, reaching the competition final for the third time, in seven editions. BTV brings you the three generations from Benfica Campus which accomplished a fantastic campaign in the European competition, playing the 2013/2014 and 2016/2017 finals and now in 2019/20, where the reds will play Real Madrid, on August 25.

European Champions honored by Seixal's City Hall

As part of the victory in the UEFA Youth League 2022, SL Benfica's Under-19 team was honored, this Tuesday afternoon, May 3, by the Seixal City Hall. In the reception to the European Champions, in the city hall, there was the usual exchange of souvenirs, and the speeches of Joaquim Santos, Mayor, and Rui Costa, President of SL Benfica. "Benfica is a Lisbon club, represented in the four corners of the world, but it is here, in Seixal, that it has its base, both for Professional Football and for Youth Football", recalled Rui Costa. "This is our base and will continue to be for many, many years. This is where we will continue to work, this is where we will continue to win," he concluded. These have been days of strong emotions! After winning the UEFA Youth League, this Thursday, April 28, was marked by tributes. The Under-19 European Champions were received at the Lisbon City Hall, a moment witnessed by the Benfiquista Family. Next, a trip to Estádio da Luz, for another moment of affection and pride, with the Benfica Official Store being the stage for an autograph session... Unforgettable!
