Recently returned from Japan, where he won the silver medalin the 50-meter butterfly at the World Championships in Fukuoka, Diogo Ribeiro shared, in an interview with BTV, the emotions felt after a historic achievement in the history of Portuguese swimming. "I felt very happy, and I still can't find the right words. I cried and got emotional like never before", said the Benfica swimmer. He also thanked all the support he has received from the Club, as well as the congratulatory message from President Rui Costa: "Receiving that message was a great joy. I have to thank the President for all the support the Club has given me in these two years."
