Visiting the Azores, on the island of Terceira, to face Lusitânia in the 3rd round of the Portuguese Cup, Benfica imposed its strength and won 1-4. On the pitch of the Estádio João Paulo II, under persistent rain and with constant and intense support from the fans, the Reds scored two goals in each half of the match, through João Mário, Rafa, Arthur Cabral and Tiago Gouveia.
