"We got to keep the rigor and the competence"

There are two finals left to play in Liga Nos, 2016/17. Although the five points difference, nothing is won in advance, nothing is won before time... these are, exactly, the words of the SL Benfica's president.

In a message to BTV, Luís Filipe Vieira reminds the competent work of an entire season, keeps the euphoria away and reminds that it is necessary to stay focused.

"Today I would like to say something. As you know, we all together, have started the season with the slogan «Rumo ao Tetra». It’s true that during the entire period, in these months, there was a deep work and we have shown our competence to everyone, the same is to say that the group was very competent and was completely focused on that competence, always with the major goal of achieving what is requested by all the "Benfiquistas", which is the Tetra. But it’s important that everyone fells that nothing is done, we didn't win yet, there are two games left to play and we will only be champions when the mathematics allow it, when no one can reach us", he said.

The Club's maximum leader adds on that "Saturday, we have an important match for all of us. The squad and the entire structure are ready for this big challenge, but it's important that all the Benfiquistas know that we are going to face Vitória, which has a great team, also very competent, perhaps the most surprising team of the Portuguese Championship. But they are going to face a great team too, which is Benfica, and they know our worth. We are going to have a great match, we want it to be a great match, but we need to have the feeling that, in this moment, we only have joy and no one can feel like it’s won, because it's not.

The support of the “Benfiquistas” has been fundamental and constant, but it's crucial to keep the competence.

"It is important that we all keep this competence, because the competence doesn't come only from the inside, it always comes from the outside to the inside, and that competence is very important for us, that responsibility, rigor and respect for the opponents, particularly for the one which we are going to face now", he warned.

At the end, the president launches the challenge for Saturday, together, to make History... and explains how! 
"We cannot stop to support the team, we don't want empty spaces, we don't have to be afraid of assuming that we want the Tetra, that is why our players have to feel that support. If we all achieve our goal, then, at the end of the day, we can be happy. In order to complete that happiness, your support is very important. Not the support that has been given until now... on Saturday, we would be remembered forever and would be very happy if we could reactivate the Luz's hell again. We don't want it to be only words, we want it to be felt that the hell really exists in Luz. We are going to keep the concentration, this rigor and, together, we are going to achieve our goals for sure", he concluded.
