The SC Braga is in the lead after beating SL Benfica, 2-1, after the penalty shoot-out. At the end of 90m, the result was 3-3.
An emotive match in Pavilhão da Universidade do Minho. SC Braga was the first to score in the 3rd minute, by Bruno Cintra. An intense match with the ball always close to both goals, during the first half, but the goalkeepers were better than the strikers.
Everything turned different on the second half! Benfica scored the equalizer at minute 23, with a great move of Rafael Henmi. The SC Braga scored again by Tiago Brito, for a 2-1 lead. But Benfica, came back to the match with Fernando Wilhelm's powerful shoot, in the next minute.
The match was not done. With 7 minutes left to play, André Coelho strikes for a 3-2 lead, but when the minhotos were thinking about the victory, Chaguinha equalizes in the 39th minute, taking the match to the extra time.
No goals in the extra time. The decision was taken to the penalties. The 2nd match will be on Saturday, 6:00pm, at Luz.
