Cervi presses and insists on the plus key in the Liga NOS

Franco Cervi keeps pressing the plus key in 2017/18. After a very good debut season, in which he scored in every competition, the Argentine continues to excel under Rui Vitória.

More minutes played, better playing time average, more goals scored and more assist in the Liga NOS. Cervi is growing game after game and has more and more impact on the team's game.

He is one of the most used players by Rui Vitória in the Liga NOS, playing in 19 of 22 rounds. Up to this moment, he has 1487 minutes and has already surpassed the 1408 minutes played in 2016/17. These numbers bridge the way to the playing time average. After playing, on average, 54,15 minutes in 2016/17, Cervi now has 78,26 minutes in the current season.

The accuracy has also improved in the Championship. In the first season he scored two goals, a number he surpassed with the brace in Portimão. He now has three strikes (P. Ferreira and two against Portimonense). In the assist chapter, no one beats, so far, the attacking midfielder. He tops the list in the Benfica squad with seven assists, closely followed by Pizzi and Jonas, both with six.

Benfica is the team with the best attack of the National Championship, with 55 goals and may thank Cervi for 10 of those goals (three goals and seven assists). The preponderance of the number 22 jersey in the team is more and more.

The good performances have drawn the attention of the Argentine National coach, Jorge Sampaoli, who in a World Cup year, has in Cervi a name to be reckoned.
