On the International Mother Language Day – which aims to promote, preserve and protect all the languages spoken by people all over the world –, four Benfica squad players became teachers for a few minutes.

Svilar taught André Almeida some words in Flemish and the defender made the stopper practice his Portuguese. Seferovic challenged Samaris to speak German and midfielder repaid with a Greek lesson. The result? Watch the video!

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
