The center-back of Rúben Dias is the great novelty in the call-up by Fernando Santos for the matches against Egypt and The Netherlands, scheduled for March 23rd and 26th. It will be the beginning of the preparation of the European Champions for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The list was divulgated this Thursday, at Cidade do Futebol, and marks the debut of the 20-year old defender with the National Team.  

“It was right after the training session, when I arrived at the dressing room, they sent me a message and I was very happy”, said Rúben Dias to BTV.

What do you feel in a moment like this?

“It’s a feeling of happiness, but also of responsibility and, between the two, the responsibility stands out as more important”, he revealed, explaining his expectation: “The expectation is the same, either here or in the youth national teams, is to be one more to help.”
