Rui Vitória: "We pressed Feirense since the starting whistle"

At the end of the match at Estádio Marcolino de Castro, Rui Vitória analyzed the 0-2 victory and praised the group.

"A well-built victory and a good performance. We have wanted this since the first minute and we came after the victory, without a shadow of a doubt. We had a strong entrance, getting the ball first, with a good pressure on a difficult field. We deserved to be at the front already on the first-half, won on the second. We won with justice and made a great performance", affirmed.

And added: "We enter all the stadiums to win, but we knew that Feirense was going to difficult our task."

When asked to identify the most important moment for Benfica along the macth, the coach gave a curious answer.

"The most important moment was to pressure Feirense since the starting whistle, we had many chances, balls on the bars and some other dangerous plays", considered.

Benfica takes seven victories in a row in Liga NOS. The coach called again the players as "competition animals" by the way they have been each match.

"It might be a curiosity or a way to face live and of working. Each match is a final and we knew that it was going to be hard, as the field was not in the best conditions. We were, in fact, competition animals, with a great physical and mental availability. We have seven victories, but what is important is that our work is done. Now we will prepare the next seven battles", he assured.
