Benfica wins the Portuguese Cup in Volleyball!

Sport Lisboa e Benfica won, this Sunday, at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Sines, its 17th Portuguese Cup in Volleyball. A victory of class, quality and a lot of talent, by 1-3, against Castêlo da Maia. The Eagles reinforced the status of Club with the most Cups won… a spectacular list of trophies!

A high-level journey of Benfica's volleyball team in the 2018 edition of the Portuguese Cup. After eliminating Sporting CP and Fonte do Bastardo, the team reached the Final Four.

In the semi-final, an emphatic win by 3-0 against Associação Académica de Espinho and this Sunday another win, a well-deserved win the best team throughout the entire competition and that has always proven that on the court.

With this result, Sport Lisboa e Benfica wins its 17th Portuguese Cup and the first title of the 2017/18 season.

Next comes the other big objective of the season. Next weekend begins the Play Off final of the Volleyball National Championship. And there will be a derby! In a best-of-five playoff, in other words, the team must win three games to become National Champions, Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Sporting CP will lock horns next Saturday, April 14th.

The Game 1 of the final is scheduled for final 3:00 pm, at Pavilion n. º 2 of Luz.
