Training session with the return of several internationals
Preparing for the away match at Trofense, scheduled for 8:15 pm on Saturday, October 16, for the 3rd round of the Portuguese Cup, Benfica's squad has already counted in the morning training of this Thursday with many of the internationals involved in the most recent matches of their national teams. Odysseas, Svilar, Vertonghen, João Mário, Nemanja, Gonçalo Ramos and Yaremchuck already worked under Jorge Jesus. Lucas Veríssimo (Brazil), Otamendi (Argentina) and Darwin (Uruguay) still have early Friday morning matches.
This Saturday, October 9, the Members of Sport Lisboa e Benfica elected the Club's Governing Bodies for the four-year term 2021-2025. The Electoral Assembly took place between 8 am and 10 pm, in 25 polling locations.

With the glorious and centenary history of the Club as a backdrop in the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião, the candidates for the presidency of the Board of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Rui Costa (List A) and Francisco Benitez (List B), debated proposals and ideas in the BTV broadcast, which will be submitted to vote by the associates this Saturday, October 9.
Inside the match against Portimonense
Benfica hosted Portimonense last Sunday, October 3, in a game from matchday 8 of the Liga Bwin. An intense match won by the team from Algarve (0-1). In the stands of EStádio da Luz, and even in the face of adversity, the Benfiquistas were tireless, supporting the team from the first to the last minute.
