The Benfica’s forward is one of the 23 names selected to represent Mexico at the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Raúl is the 5th Benfica's player called for the 2018 World Cup. The forward is among the chosen ones by Juan Carlos Osorio to wear the Mexican jersey at the competition which will take place between June 14 and July 15.

Rúben Dias (Portugal), Salvio (Argentina), Zivkovic (Serbia) and Ebuehi (Nigeria), other members of the Club’s professional squad, have already been included in the final lists of their respective countries. Seferovic (Switzerland) still waits for decision.

Currently, with more than 60 caps and 13 goals scored with the national team, Raúl started his journey in the Mexican team in January 2013, in a friendly match against Denmark.
