The futsal teams from Benfica and Sporting will meet again on Wednesday at 7:30 pm to play the 2nd encounter of the National Championship play-off finals, played in a best-of-five series.

After the loss at Pavilhão João Rocha, by 5-4, the eagles have at Pavilhão Fidelidade a great opportunity to tie the series. On Saturday, Joel Rocha's men were in the lead for several minutes, but in the second half, Sporting made a comeback.

This is the 11th final played between the two emblems since the Club created the sport, in 2001/02 (at the time it finished second). The 2014/15 marks the last time that the Reds celebrated the National Title. Already with Joel Rocha at the helm, Benfica prevailed over Sporting by 3-1. However, the match order has changed since then. In 2017/18 they are alternated – one at Sporting (for having racked up more points in the regular phase) and another at Benfica.
