The coach warns for the difficulties in Vila do Conde.
25 August 2017, 16h44
Two of the four leaders of Liga NOS, Rio Ave and Benfica, will play on Saturday. Rui Vitória expects a difficult match "by tradition".
“The Rio Ave's team is composed by good players and started the championship very well. It will be a disputed match, very competitive and with quality. It's difficult to play in Vila do Conde by tradition", he said at the Press Conference.
In spite of being at the initial stage of the championship, the coach warns for the difficulties that each team might create.
“There are teams which will improve, others start strong and go down right after. We are analyzing opponents and the matches are not all the same. Sometimes, it's different to play against the three biggest teams. Against Rio Ave, there are three points to achieve and we'll do everything to win. That's how we think every match. Just like in the Champions League. This is our behavior", he declared.
“For me, more than any player, it's the team concept which got to be there. The loss of players is normal but we have respond. I'm not worried. We know that the market is open until August 31st. We are aware of that and we'll make a competitive team", he concluded.
Benfica plays against Rio Ave tomorrow, in Vila do Conde, at 8:30pm.
