In the most difficult test to Benfica's invincibility, in this beginning of the season, the Handball team overcame another challenge, this time after a 28-24 win over the Polish Gwardia Opole, in the 1st leg of the 2nd round qualifiers for the EHF Cup group stage

Special prominence, in this victory, which leaves Benfica well positioned in the qualifiers, for the memorable performance of João Pedro Silva, as well as the goalkeeper Miguel Espinha, who, at some moments, was almost unbeatable. The second leg will be held on October 15th, in Poland.
