This sung sentence is heard, since 2014, in the matches at Estádio da Luz. The motto appeared at Eusébio's wake, in the moment where the urn was in the middle of the pitch.

January 2014. A tough month for the Benfica supporters! Eusébio da Silva Ferreira passed away, the biggest figure of the Portuguese football and of the Club. On January 6th, the urn that transported the body of the Black Panther went through the middle of the field. This was one of the more heart-felt moments in the 14 years of Estádio da Luz.
middle of the pitch. It was a moment of dismay. The thousands of people who were in the stands were deeply sad.
And in that moment emerged in unison a sung sentence, charged with symbolism, that until this day is part of the 71st minute (the King's age when he died) at the matches played in the New Cathedral: “You are our King, Eusébio! Rest in peace forever.”
The mortal remains of Eusébio da Silva Ferreira rest in the National Pantheon since July 3rd 2015, together with other important names of the Portuguese history.
